Will Smith's big break onto the movie scene was no doubt Independence Day in 1996. Overall the blockbuster was received as fair, but not great.
After 20 years, Big Willie will not be returning for the sequel, which will be released in the US on June 24th.
Can the resurgence sequel surpass its predecessor? Or will it be a lame duck at the box office? That is up for you to decide.
